Lita Rossana Ford, popularly called Lita Ford, is a born in Britain. She is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. She was the guitarist of The all-girl rock group, The Runaways, in the mid 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious songs helped them gain attention throughout the rock world. The Runaways weren't very successful in their native United States. However, their popularity grew overseas especially in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the band breakup. After studying voice, Ford released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin' at the Edge". Ford disappeared from the music scene for several years following both albums failing to gain much popularity. The smash-hit album Lita which came out in 1989, was the catalyst for her comeback. Kiss Me Deadly was her greatest hit, as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success didn't last long since she went under the radar for several years. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995 and then a couple of years later, 'Wicked Wonderland", she re-emerged. She released her latest album in the year 2016 titled 'Time-Capsule. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
