Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, in New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have earned her recognition in a variety of types of films ranging from thrillers and adventures to period films. Johansson is the daughter of a film producer and an architect. She was raised by New York City. Her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. She developed an interest in acting from a very young age and was auditioning for commercials before the age of seven. In her early years, Johansson appeared in Sophistry alongside Ethan Hawke and made her movie debut at Rob Reiner's North in 1994.
